How to prepare your Apple device before visiting iCare
iCloud Backup
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.
Tap Back Up Now to create a current backup of your device.
iTunes/Finder Backup
Connect your device to a computer with iTunes (Windows or older macOS) or Finder (macOS Catalina and later).
Select your device and choose Back Up Now.
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Find My.
Select your device and toggle off Find My [Device].
Enter your Apple ID password to confirm.
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign Out.
Choose whether to keep a copy of your data on the device or remove it.
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Erase All Content and Settings.
Confirm the action and enter your device passcode if prompted.
Use a SIM ejector tool or a paper clip to remove the SIM card from your device.
Store the SIM card in a safe place.
Remove any cases, screen protectors, or other accessories that aren’t part of the repair.
Your sales receipt, if you can (proof of purchase may be required for some repairs).
